I am not going to saying here. But these are great.

Congressmen. Congressperson? Congresspeople?
The top of the list is not really that interesting. The bottom of the list is much more exciting. Rep. Alcee Hastings! How are you so poor?
(The answer: he's still paying lawyer fees from lawsuits in the 80's!) And, no offensive Florida, but obviously he's from Florida.
Here's his wiki profile.

Oh, and apparently VP Joe Biden is/was considered one of the poorest senator. I don't know what that means, its just an observation. And! Michael Bloomberg, mayor of NYC, is the richest American politician....$22 BILLION! Eighty-eight times richer than Mitchell Romney. Mitt's got nothing on Bloomberg.
Anyway. This is not a political forum... just thoughts and observations.

oh. And: the word senator derives from the Latin word senatus meaning 'old man'. Again. just an observation.

MSNBC Photo Blog 04/25/2012

I know, I know, MSNBC? Tim, really?  But its actually a really great photo blog. Several times a day the site gets updated with images from across the globe from photojournalists. The site slogan is "Conversations sparked by photojournalism." The posts are sometimes short, sometimes just one image, mildly informative but couldn't really be called photo-essays.
Its great, check it out. PhotoBlog
I just grabbed this image below from latest post from Kashmir.

A collection of historical maps of the development of the NYC subway (and general transit) since 1904. Most of the maps I collected from NYC Subway Historical Maps. You can go to the site and find better high quality versions. Wiki and Wiki if you want more info.

I am not a graphic designer, nor will I ever be. But I do like the aesthetic development of the map, especially the jump between 1968 and 1972.  Plus, in the 90's, the maps start to look like a Super Mario World map. Its an amazing example of aesthetic and information being developed, displayed and used for the public.

2001?
I didn't really have a beard... it was more like long neck hair...

After recently visiting my mother in western Massachusetts (...massachuesettes, massachuttes, or whatever) I found some old drawings from my 'gap' year after high school before college. I was 18 and it was 2002. I had just 'finished' a 3 month bike trek down the west coast and returned to live with my mother in Newton, MA at the Fessenden School.  She was teaching at a boarding school and also as a dorm parent (an adult that ran, controlled and lived in the dormitory with the students.) I was working on an art portfolio for college admission which contained none of these drawings... but these are the drawings I did when keeping an eye and ear on the dorm after my mother went to bed.
